Dee Why, a coastal suburb in Northern Sydney lies 18 kilometres north east of Sydney’s Central Business District with its 1.2 kilometres stretch of beach. Although most of the people who live in Dee Why state they do not have any religious affinities, the suburb has its fair share of churches catering to the various denominations (Methodists, Presbyterians, Catholic, Jehovah’s Witness and Baptist).
It is also home to a Sir John Sulman award winning library, Coles, Woolworths and Aldi supermarkets, the Dee Why Market, Village Plaza, Meriton Retail Precinct, RSL Club, and two multi-storey apartment buildings: The Strand and the Dee Why Grand.
